Affordable Housing Preservation in Brooklyn

BEC I is the first phase of an affordable housing preservation project. Working with Brooklyn-based non-profit BEC New Communities, Hudson is implementing a broad scope of improvements across the 13 buildings in the portfolio including new roofs, repointing of masonry, new windows, and refreshed common spaces. The buildings house 221 units throughout the Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights neighborhoods of Brooklyn.  With assistance from HPD these units will be preserved as affordable housing for New York families for at least the next thirty years with a portion set aside for formerly homeless New Yorkers.
