Transforming Roosevelt Island's Main Street

Hudson has long recognized the importance and uniqueness of Roosevelt Island’s Main Street retail corridor. Today, Hudson and its partner, the Related Companies, are long-term leaseholders to 90,000 square feet of retail across 25 stores Roosevelt Island’s Main Street. Upon designation as master lease holder by the Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation in 2011, the retail was 50% vacant. Since then, Hudson has transformed the retail corridor through an extensive rebranding and renovation including installation of wood ceilings on the arcade, new lighting, signage and benches and repainting storefronts. These improvements have led to several tenants including Wholesome Factory, Island OM, Wholesome Taqueria, and a new branch of the New York Public Library. Shops on Main is now 95% leased
