24.5 Van Houten Street in Paterson, New Jersey is Hudson’s first project in the State.  The site is located in the Great Falls Historic District, overlooks Lou Costello Park and is walking distance to downtown Paterson.  When completed it the project will consist of approximately 200 units of affordable senior housing in a combination of several renovated historic mill buildings and several ground-up, newly constructed buildings.  In addition to the residential program the project will contain street-facing retail space, approximately 7,500sf of performing arts space for local students and non-profits, and will have a pedestrian connection to the Great Falls Riverwalk, a five-mile public walking and biking path with integrated historic elements.  The project is being designed to achieve LEED Gold certification and has strong local and government stakeholder support.
