In 2000, Hudson developed and sold the Elsie Richardson Homes at Saratoga Square consisting of 71 new affordable two-family homes located in Bedford Stuyvesant. The homes are distinctively designed and constructed with a solid brick facade to blend with the neighborhood of traditional brick and stone row houses.

The Elsie Richardson Homes provided generous living space with attractive layouts. Each new home contains a spacious owner's duplex containing three bedrooms with large walk-in-closets, a living room and a comfortable family room/dining area. For ease of access, the laundry room is located on the second floor. A back stair at each home leads to a private garden. In addition to the duplex, the home includes a two-bedroom rental apartment in the basement.
