Hudson
has recently established
an affiliate, Hudson
Affordable Housing
LLC (Hudson Affordable),
to focus exclusively
on the development
of affordable and low
income housing.
Affordable housing has been one of Hudson’s primary activities since the company’s founding in 1986. We have developed over 2,000 units of affordable housing sponsored by the New York City Housing Partnership and the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). In addition, the firm has developed “80/20” mixed income rental buildings financed by the NYC Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and the NYS Housing Finance Agency (HFA).
Hudson Affordable
will build upon this
track record to develop
all types of affordable
housing:
- multifamily rental,
homeownership and
supportive housing
- low, moderate
and mixed incomes
- tax credits, tax
exempt bonds, and
state and local capital
funds
- joint ventures
with nonprofit CDC’s
and service providers
Hudson Affordable
is directed by Michael
Wadman, who has extensive
experience financing
all types of affordable
housing. As Senior
Vice President at the
New York State Housing
Finance Agency (HFA)
and Affordable Housing
Corporation (AHC) from
1999 to 2004, Michael
was responsible for
originating over $3.3
billion of bond, mortgage
and subsidy financing
for over 20,000 units
of housing throughout
New York State.
